In this Dream Tour segment, the blues rock artist, Hamish Anderson, shares the acts that he would include on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out his picks, after the break.
My dream tour…I could see this being a tour that brings together all sorts of time periods, like from the 1940s through to today. It would pretty much be all the artists who have ever influenced me and whom I would love to see perform live.
It would start with the legends – they could vary from city to city so that we can include as many as possible. I’d say definitely there would be epic sets by The Rolling Stones, Muddy Waters, Bob Dylan, Buddy Guy in the US and Australia, where I am from.
Then maybe I could get Jeff Buckley, BB King, The Band, J.J. Cale, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin could join me for Europe perhaps.
I’d end the tour with at least one night at the Royal Albert Hall opening for Eric Clapton – it’s a historic venue where he’s performed for decades.
And it would mean I would finally be able to catch one of his shows there.
