Deadstar Assembly – PRESHOW RITUALS

Our pre show rituals are pretty straightforward but one of the best parts of our daily tour routine. We enjoy a good two hour block between starting to get ready and hitting the stage, we all get ready together shooting the shit,having fun and really bonding, it is “OUR TIME”. Usually I’ll lay down for a few minutes to relax before putting on the war paint.

Good music is an essential part of this. Over the past year of touring, the band Ghost BC, 80s Metal or Rammstein was the music of choice while getting ready.

I will usually have one or two drinks to help get the vibe going but never more prior to a show. Being the drummer means you are the rhythmic rock and time clock of the band. Partying too much before you walk onto stage could spell disaster all around.

Once I’m dressed, I spend about 15 to 20 minutes doing a good stretch routine and loosening up. After that, Im ready to bring the rock!
