Enabler – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, Jeff Lohrber, of the hardcore band, Enabler, shares the acts that he would include on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out his picks, after the break.

If I could go back in time and tour with Metallica at any time through Kill Em All through the Black Album, that would probably be my dream tour. Their discography up through the Black Album is absolutely perfect in my eyes, not one questionable song, not even one questionable moment of any song. They are the band that opened up the doors of heavy metal to the mainstream audience, which some people think is a bad thing, but I think we’ve all benefited from it in some way or another. More people hearing heavy metal means more people getting into heavy metal, which means more people digging up obscure bands they wouldn’t have heard of otherwise. I also back how much Metallica has paid respect to everything that influenced them through all the covers they have done of bands like Diamond Head, Budgie, Misfits, Discharge, Mercyful Fate, etc. The cover recordings definitely were some of my first exposure to some of those bands when I was a kid, and I’m sure those bands are thankful from the royalties they’ve seen from that.
