Let’s start this dream tour line up out with a personal favorite:
Kacey Musgraves. The sounds would align really well with the style of music that we play and opening up for someone who writes songs as stunning as hers would be amazing. Pageant Material is one of my favorite records of all time. The production on it is so beautifully reserved but appropriately potent at the same time. Besides that…It would be so cool to meet her. -Megan
Ben Howard– I was going to quit doing music at a very low point in my life. It had seemed, at that time, like a very poor career choice to have pursued and I hadn’t heard any music that really stunned me to my core in a very long time. A friend of mine walked into my room and was ecstatic about something which frustrated me because I was feeling low. He said “ you have to hear this guy Ben Howard” I wasn’t enthralled by the idea of listening to music given the fact that I was about to completely give up on it but he insisted and directed me to a youtube video of Ben Playing a song called “These Waters” live in Paris. I was so glued to the screen and the music spoke so deeply to me that i was actually crying. I turned to my friend with tears in my eyes and all he said was “right?” it sparked a belief in musics power that made me want to be back in the game more strongly than ever. His music has the kind of depth that is continually stunning and his live performances are sometimes even better than the record. So he’s most definitely on the Lineup for this one. – Mason
John Mayer – When I was 13 I didn’t really know what I wanted to be or do definitively. I had played in various jazz bands and cover bands around my home town. I remember driving to the airport with my uncle and hearing “why Georgia” on the radio for the first time. In that moment I knew immediately what I wanted to do. He is most likely the most important inspiration in my musical life and I think it would be a great fit to play with him. Plus watching him do what he does best up close and personal would be a humbling and learning experience. -Eli
Smashing Pumpkins– I have a tattoo that’s dedicated to them. It’s really my very first memory of music affecting me in a profound way. Songs like “1979” “Perfect” and their incredible cover of “my Blue Heaven” groomed my musical tastes from a very young age. Any musicality I have today is largely due to their influence. We all agree, they are the perfect band to wrap up our dream tour lineup. – Mason
