Fall To June – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

This crazy story from the road was written by Jeremy Marshall, of the rock band, Fall To June. You can check out the band’s story, after the break.

I was in my former band, and it was my first time in Hollywood… the record label had booked us hotel rooms at the famous Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd. We opened the curtains to reveal the Hollywood sign and a large gathering on the sidewalk in front of Mann’s Chinese Theatre where, as it turned out, Al Pacino was putting his handprints into a cement square!

Enamored by all the sights and bustle of the city, we went out to celebrate the fact that we were there to make our first album. By celebrating I mean, mass consumption of alcohol. I remember returning to the hotel around 3AM with my good friend and guitar tech… the next thing I remember was the door of the fire escape slamming behind me and I was 9 floors up wearing nothing but my boxer shorts. No, shoes. No, shirt. No, socks.

Apparently, I have a tendency to sleepwalk. I tried opening the door, to no avail, so I walked down each flight of stairs and tried each door… all locked. I made it to the roof of the lobby and found a piece of pipe and had the bright idea to go back up and use it to pry open a door… but I couldn’t remember which floor, so I just tried the 3rd floor. I was politely greeted by a 9mm to the forehead by hotel security. They gave me the typical commands to raise hands and such and escorted me to the security office and finally verified that I was a guest and allowed my tech to bring me some clothing.

I wasn’t off the hook until I gave them a statement… which is exactly what you just read.
