The Cold Kids & Campfires Acoustic Tour Part 2 ended its tour in Berwyn, Illinois on a Sunday evening. Headling this tour was 7 Minutes in Heaven. With them were Broadside and Marina City. On the last day of tour, they had friends in Belmont and Aiming for Average open for them as well.
Marina City started off the night. While they performed people in the crowd were singing along as well. They played “Keep Your Faith in Me”, “I Can’t Love You”, “The Haunting”, and others. They also had an array of instruments on stage making sure all the members were on stage performing. Their set seemed to give off a very emotional vibe, especially when lead singer, Ryan Argast dedicated it to his nana. All of their songs seemed to hit everyone hard. Their last song they all stood up to sing with the fans.

Virginia natives, Broadside were up next. Representing their band was lead vocalist, Oliver Baxter and Guitarist, Dorian Cooke. They got the crowd going playing songs such as “Story Teller”, “Damaged Kids”, “Coffee Talk”, “Come & Go” and others. During the last song, the members of Marina City rushed the stage and helped them finish the song and then carried them offstage.

Closing the night was 7 Minutes in Heaven. As soon as they took the stage, everyone was singing along the rest of the night. They played “I’m Okay”, “Misconnections”, “Side Effects”, “F.U.K.”, a cover of Paramore’s “Ain’t it Fun”, and others. They also told the crowd how their van had slid at night while driving a few nights ago but they were okay. They were very thankful to be able to continue the tour and that no one was hurt.

At the show there was a mix of ages in attendance. I was glad to see parents there whether they were there supporting someone in the band or bringing their child to the show so they both could support the band.
I was also both surprised to see so many people there already after doors opened. It just shows the amount of support local bands have here in Chicago. There were even members of other Chicago bands in the crowd such as members from The Fall Four, Talk to You Never, and others. After the show everyone was around to take pictures, sign merch and just around to meet and talk with everyone.
I predict big things happening for all these bands and am super excited to see them live again. If you never have heard of any of the bands mentioned, you definitely should.
