A Love Like Pi – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the electronic rock band, A Love Like Pi, shares the acts that they would include on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.

Ladysmith Black Mambazo. These guys taught me that cool is universal. There’s no one on stage with a recently publicized Twitter scandal, no outrageous holographic light shows, no drug-addled epithets being screamed at the crowd between songs…but, damn, if their show doesn’t keep you engaged and absorbed the whole way through.

Missy Elliott. Nobody can change the mood from haunted-house to house-party like Missy. She’s been a huge inspiration to me, from production to performance, but also hoping that if her and Ladysmith share a stage we might get a mind-blowing collab out of it.

Rage Against The Machine. Just about every song I love falls somewhere between Missy and Rage. These guys are explosive, awesomely explosive and made saying nonsense like “Nina, Pinta, Santa Maria” sound about as dramatic as Dr. Martin Luther King’s “I have a Dream” speech.
