Hey there again, this is Miles from Ænimus, checking in with Digital Tour Bus. The first half of the tour with Lifeforms just finished up, and it was a ton of fun. We played some great shows in some cool states. It is always a bummer saying goodbye to a band you were with on a tour package. All the guys in Lifeforms were great guys and they were a ton of fun to on tour. We all wish them a safe drive back home to Sacramento.
Some highlights of the first half of the tour have been the shows we played in New Mexico at The Dream Center and the show at Tomcats West in Fort Worth. Those two shows stick out in all of our minds because of the audience, as well as the things that went on off the stage.
I will start off with The Dream Center in New Mexico. We got there early for load in, and the place looked totally weak, and the sound system was pretty weak. We thought the show was going to be really bad. As the night went on, Sean and I were practicing in our makeshift greenroom. We went out to check out who was all there, and a ton of people had showed up. It was really surprising. During our set, everyone was rocking out and singing along, which was really cool. We even signed someones bass guitar that night.
The show in Fort Worth was great for several reasons. There were two tour packages that played that night, Lifeforms and us in one, then, The Browning, Upon This Dawning, Phineas, Adestria, and Dayseeker were in the other tour package, put on by the Artery Foundation. That show had a great attendance as well as crowd interaction. Earlier that day, The Blue Angels were practicing for an air show that was going to happen during the weekend. So, they were flying around in all the formations and whatnot. The coolest, as well as scariest part was when one the planes flew directly overhead the venue. That had to be one of the loudest sounds I have ever heard in my life.
Anyways, we are staying at our friend’s from Apparitions house in Arizona for two days before the second half of the Breaking Rad tour begins. Hope to see you all at the upcoming shows!
