Alesana – 4th ROAD BLOG from “The Confessions Tour”

The rock band, Alesana, is currently on their full spring U.S. tour, called “The Confessions Tour” with Capture The Crown, The Browning, Conquer Divide and The Funeral Portrait. While they’re on this tour, they’ll be doing an exclusive blog for our site. You can check out the fourth entry, written by bassist, Shane Crump, after the break.

Week three of the tour has been a pretty good time. After getting our sprinter problems sorted out, we all picked back up where we left off. It was good to have the crew back together again. Luckily we got our sprinter back just before facing three long drives, back to back to back.

After Kansas City, we headed out to Denver. We played a great show at Marquis Theater and then followed up with some shots across the street that had scorpions floating in them. From there we made our way to Utah and met up with some friends there. It was great to see some familiar faces and play to the high energy crowd of Salt Lake. That night we had a long trek out to Northern California.

Orangevale killed it. We sold out the house and I don’t think I’ve seen so many crowd surfers in a long time. After that, we spent our off day at our tour managers house in Brentwood, Ca. Such a fun time hanging out in the countryside of Northern California, cooking out and watching the sun fade away behind Mt. Diablo. After a day of relaxation, we headed down to Hollywood to play the prestigious Whiskey a Go Go. The LA crowd killed it, and we had another amazing show there.

That night we headed towards Tucson. We had such a great time there, the staff at The Rock were amazingly nice people. Thank you guys for everything! After a solid night in Phoenix, we have made our way to El Paso, TX. I’m definitely excited to get through these last dates and get back home to my own bed.
