Lana Del Rey
I saw Lana perform at Coachella 2014. She’s been one of my idols since I first heard video games on the radio and thought “WHO THE HELL IS THIS” off the first magical church bell chime. Her music is like poetry and has influenced my own. She’s a quiet force who can bring me to tears with a whisper. I was a blubbering mess at that Coachella performance.

Francis and the Lights
I saw Francis and the Lights music video for Friends on my Facebook feed and was immediately a fangirl. I have the Facebook status to prove it. I saw him perform at the El Rey this past April and was mesmerized by his sincerity, his emotion and of course, his dance moves.

His production and energy is a major influence for me. He makes you want to dance, and dance like no one is watching. I want to make music like that.

Lorde
Again, I cried at Coachella. The passion that Lorde delivers live is striking. That, along with her attitude to not stray from her ideals as a female artist inspires me to continue trusting my voice, in all forms of the word.
