Well, that is a tricky one but let’s see if we can figure something out. I would have a traveling variety show of amazing artists so every night would be an awesome assembly of music, an extravaganza.
First off, Ray Charles and Feist would sing Limit To You Love.
Then, Freddie Mercury and David Bowie can smash out Under Pressure.
Since Under Pressure is one of the best songs on earth the next act will have to be a full orchestra playing Clint Mansell’s epic Death is The Road to Awe from the film, “The Fountain”. When the dust settles Bon Iver would come on and play two songs from each of his three albums.
We would chill out for a time whilst Simon and Garfunkel serenaded us with Bridge Over Troubled Water, Sam Cooke sang A Change is Gonna Come and then Nick Drake would slip on and play Pink Moon. Once the last notes of Pink Moon had faded Ryan Adams and Bruce Springsteen could join forces on a couple of tunes with maximum saxophone on Born To Run. Let’s keep it building and get AC/DC to blow us out of the water with If You Want Blood, Highway To Hell, and TNT before bringing it way back down with Ray Charles again singing this beautiful version of Old Man River.
The gig would finish with me singing my song House of Spirits with a full gospel choir which has always been a dream of mine. Then one of the choir members would step out and it would be Nina Simone and she would sing Sinnerman to bring the curtain down on an epic night.
