American Standards – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

This Crazy Tour Story is the first of many written stories from today’s tour bands and artists! This story comes from the hardcore/punk band, American Standards. You can check out their story, after the break.

“Our story is more of a series of unfortunate events from the American Young Tour.

Day one we blow a tire on the way to the first venue and spiral off the road. Being a used van we didn’t have the tool to remove the spare tire and had to macgyver our way out of the situation.

Day two we locked the van keys in the trailer and had to walk miles to find a Denny’s open at 3am. Lady at the counter says her husband is “good at breaking into things”. We wait around to find that he has morales when it comes to breaking into trailers to get the keys, but he was perfectly fine breaking into the van. We ultimately had to cut the lock.

Day three I personally lost my phone with all the your contacts only to find it day four in a patch of snow.

And finally, day five we got pulled over by the cops for following a car “too close”.

Even with all the above being said, it was honestly the most fun and successful tour we’ve ever had and we wouldn’t trade the experience for the world.”
