Apollo LTD – TOUR PRANKS

In this Tour Pranks segment, the alternative pop duo, Apollo LTD, share some pranks that have happened on tour. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Back in our early 20’s we all had horrible part time jobs. Barely making any money to pay rent and feed ourselves. Black beans and sandwiches was our daily diet. We had some shows pop up somewhere in the Midwest and of course, WE HAD TO GO PLAY THEM!! I mean, it’s a matter of life and death at that point in your life. We convinced our drummer at the time to quit his job so that he could come play these shows with us. Because after all…. Your commitment was to the band first. HAHA

He passes out in the van for about 3 hours and we pull off the highway at one of the most depressing and desolate office buildings that had clearly not been occupied since the early 80’s. We turn the van off and wake him up in the back…. “we say dude…. we drove all this way and this is where the show is…. and there is no one here!”

In the most dejected state, I have ever seen an adult person be in…. he puts his face in his hands and cries out…. “I quit my job for this!!!!!” as he falls dramatically back into his make shift bed in the back bench. Good times guys…. good times.
