My dream tour would be a 2 month trip across North America in an old school tour bus. Firstly I’d like my good friend Isaac Gracie on it with me- we have known each other since we are kids and got up to all kinds of stuff together so together I know we would have a cracking time. He is also a brilliant singer and songwriter whose music I could easily listen to every night.
I would also have Father John Misty- I have been a big fan of his since Fear Fun and saw him play at the Hammersmith Apollo last year. His showmanship was incredible, the songs beautiful and the band on point. Equally off the stage, he seems a very smart and interesting dude with plenty to say, not just about music, but history, anthropology, and politics all of which are interests of mine so I think we would be able to really shoot the shit on the tour bus and I’d learn a lot- including a lot of 5 to 6 syllable words.
Next, I’d have Gorillaz. They are one of my favourite bands and am a huge Damon Albarn fan. I just love his approach to music and Jamie Hewlett’s style in drawing- I am a bit of a nerd and have watched all the footage of them that exists on youtube and became quite obsessed with their working dynamic. To hang out with those dudes every night as well as obviously Murdoch, Russel, 2-D, and Noodle would be, quite literally, a dream come true (One night I dreamt that I was a Jamie Hewlett drawing and had joined the band however on my first show didn’t have any idea what I was doing so was unceremoniously dumped)
Keep up with him on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
