Bearings – CRAZY TOUR STORIES

In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the pop punk band, Bearings, talk about some of their crazy moments from touring. You can check out the feature, after the break.

We were out on our first east coast Canadian tour this past summer and it was an incredible experience. Every show was a lot of fun, but most nights we didn’t have anywhere to stay. We would usually end up sleeping in Wal-Mart parking lots but one night we thought it would be fun to go on a little adventure.

We heard about this cool spot to check out at night but the only way to get there was through all these dark back roads with no lighting. We thought we’d give it a shot anyways and ended up in the middle of nowhere. We got to this one point where we couldn’t go down the road because it was too steep, so we decided to get out and walk. After about a mile of walking, we decided to turn back, it was a bit too creepy out there. After a few minutes, our guitarist traveling with us then, Matt, decided to run up ahead, we couldn’t find him and then out of nowhere he comes running out of the trees screaming and scared the crap out of us.

We finally got back to the van with all members intact and thought about how cool it was just to be out in a brand new place not knowing where we are and feeling great about it. It’s the coolest experience to just go explore with your best friends and see what happens. After a few GPS mishaps, we headed back to that lovely Wal-Mart parking lot, talked for a few hours and went to bed.
