Black Spiders – TOUR TIPS

Rock band, Black Spiders, have written a set of Tour Tips that you guys can learn from. You can check them out after the break.

1. Never take your audience for granted. Get out to the merch desk and talk to people every night. Not only will it keep you grounded, it may help you sell more merch, which will eventually help you break even, to carry on touring.
2. Know where you are and try to get out and take in the culture. It’s not all about getting wasted on as much free booze as you can. There’s so much out there, so experience it, you are privileged to be touring, so be an ambassador, not an asshole.
3. If there is a lack of any type of catering, make use of your PDs by eating wisely and regularly. Drink plenty of water and keep healthy, the last thing anyone wants, especially the singers in the band, is tour flu. If you can, take vitamins.
4. Be respectful of those around you and keep your driver happy. You’re together in this and if it’s going to last then take some kind of professional approach to what you’re doing. If you act like a dick, you will certainly be treated like one…
5. Get sleep when you can, and save your energy for the stage and play it like it’s your last gig. If it’s only booze or energy drink that can make you a half decent human being then it’s time to go home.
