Blameshift – TOUR TIPS

Rock band, Blameshift, has written a set of Tour Tips for us. You can check them out after the break!

1. Have enough product to sell. You survive on selling your CD’s, tees & hoodies, stock up if you’re gonna be out for any length of time.
2. Make your vehicle sleep ready. If you convert your touring vehicle so all band member can get good night sleeps, it will greatly improve your time on the road. Trust us, you don’t wanna stay on dirty cat infested carpets every night.
3. Get to town early to promote. If you can schedule your tours so your drives aren’t too far apart, you can get to your next stop early enough to promote. Get to a local Mall and promote to everyone until they throw you out. If you can bring down even 3-4 extra people, that could equal over 50 new diehard fans and a few extra 100 bucks over a month tour.
4. Get “Shower in a bag” Purchase at Walmart, wash in any parking lot, your band mates will love you forever.
5. Budget yourself. Tour is a roller coaster. One night you’ll play in front of 300 kids making a few hundred dollars, the next night, 5 old dudes and you’ll make a $1.75. Give all members a small percentage of the gross money you make each night. That way band member will have incentives to push merch and talk with potential fans, which in turn will make the band more
money.
