Before a show I think that it’s important to prepare yourself physically, emotionally and most importantly mentally, so here are three things that I do to get myself ready for showtime!!!
STRETCHING is important to get the blood moving and gets you nice and loose before you jump on stage but I don’t stretch anymore…..after watching Zombieland and realising that Woody Harrelson was right in stating towards someone stretching “have you ever seen a leopard limber up before it takes down a gazelle” case and point..
NERVES – I’m not one to get very nervous or stressed, so I have a person who sits in a room and when I feel like I should be stressed or nervous I sit with them and watch them cry or freak out over what they’re wearing. I even give them a swimming cap and some fake tan so they look like me too.
EMOTIONS usually run high before, during or after gigs and it’s hard to keep them in check. To keep them in check and to stop my head from enlarging greatly, said person that helps with my nerves spends an hour after the show every 5 minutes yelling loser into my ear for exactly 10 seconds. After that hour my head truly and definitely is deflated.
