The metal band, A Breach Of Silence, is currently on the road supporting Drowning Pool’s “Unlucky 13 Anniversary Tour” with Like A Storm and Red Tide Rising. While they’re on this tour, they will be doing an exclusive blog for us. You can check out the second entry, with pictures, after the break.
So part 2 of our tour diary see us starting it off in Cape Coral, Florida. We were reminded of home the most from this town. It’s right on the beach and the salt in the air is nearly identical to our Gold Coast. We already enjoyed it. The Show was at Dixie’s Roadhouse, and the crowd were really getting into it. Which is something that’ll never get old. The next run of shows were a fair way up the east coast, to Virginia. We were super excited to get up there because we were going to be playing in Fredricksburg, which is where our Booking agency is based! We had the privilege of hanging out and spending a bit of time with our buddy, Chris Poland from Eclipse Records too! Great to have a couple beers with him after talking for so long over Skype!
The Virginia shows were awesome! Fredricksburg was a huge party with our friends, Virginia beach was a cool, beach side vibe that reminded us of home again, and Lynchburg was a more country kind of vibe, where we got to experience our first cold night! From there we headed north west to Fostoria, Ohio. After we arrived to the barnyard venue, we realized that the engine light was on in our Mercedes Sprinter! Now for those playing at home, this means that the vans computer gives you 16 more goes at starting her up before we had to take it to a Mercedes dealership to reset the computer! Of course as we looked around us and saw nothing but corn fields and cows, we were stuck driving over an hour to the nearest dealership that serviced sprinters! We made it back to the venue as it started snowing and just before doors too, so we dodged a bullet. But what a stressful afternoon! The show was fantastic! So many people came out for it and new friends were made!
We drove out of Fostoria through the night as it was suggested not to stay there, so we drove through the first snow we saw up to Macomb, Illinois for our next country/rural style show, this time on a roller skating rink! As the days roll on, we can feel the air getting colder and colder! And the next show in Sioux Falls wasn’t any exception! The venue in Sioux Falls would have to be the best one yet! The stage and hall were huge! And backstage was a proper backstage! It was awesome!
Sioux falls marked our last show before a much needed day off. We spent our day off in North Platte, Nebraska. It’s a cool little town with a bunch of awesome hotels around it, so I’m sure we’re not the only ones who use it as a pass through town. Our night off consisted of eating authentic American style wings and bowling! We teamed up against Drowning Pool and Red Tide Rising in bowling tournaments and had a couple beers. Was a great night! before we could blink, the day off was over and we were back on the road again to Colorado! We can’t wait to see all the scenery!
As we approached the Rockies, our engine light decided to come on again! We had to waste our whole afternoon before the Colorado Springs show, by spending it at the Westminster Mercedes service center! Not again! Luckily we were able to get it fixed again and high tail it down to Colorado Springs just in time for the show! What a day!
