The metal band, A Breach Of Silence, is currently on the road supporting Drowning Pool’s “Unlucky 13 Anniversary Tour” with Like A Storm and Red Tide Rising. While they’re on this tour, they will be doing an exclusive blog for us. You can check out the fifth and final entry, with pictures, after the break.
So the show in Racine went really well! We turned up to the venue and the Drowning pool production team had set all our gear up outside on a “stage B”. fully set up with smoke machine and everything. This seems to be a pattern we’re noticing here. they’re clearly getting enjoyment out of it, so we’re happy too haha. After the nights hotel stay, we headed to Ringle, WI. Now this town is probably one of the most creepy we’ve ever been to. It could’ve been the fact that the community center we were playing was in the woods and surrounded by trees, or that there was snow everywhere, OR that the fog was so dense, you could only see 4 feet in front of you……OR it could’ve been the fact that around these parts was where the urban legend of “Slenderman” began. In the woods……it’s foggy……and the chance of getting murdered in a horrible way has also increased. But hey, bring on the show!!! haha.
It was actually a great turn out! the whole room was pumping and not even caring about the imminent danger from packs of Timber Wolves that apparently hang around the venue, and thus we were told to not go outside alone, or leave the back doors open. EEEEEPP! Luckily we all got out alive, and headed to our hotel for the night. Up next was Joliet. Which is basically Chicago. A great venue with an awesome set up, and not too much stress. It wasn’t one of the biggest shows we’ve played on this tour, but the crowd got into our set and we made some more fans. Which is the whole reason why we’re here!
The next day we drove to Missouri. We could feel the air getting warmer. But not too warm. It was still freaking freezing to us aussies. Columbia, Missouri is a great little town with some really cool restaurants. The show was in another theatre, which always have the best acoustics, so we couldn’t wait to get up on the stage! Being the second last show, the Red Tide Rising lads decided that it was prank time. Halfway through our set, they started throwing marshmallows at us from the wings. I think Rhys actually caught one in his mouth! Bloody legend. Can’t believe that the tour is nearly over! It feels like yesterday we were playing our first show in San Antonio! The last show was Joplin Missouri. Joplin is a town that was completely wiped off the map a couple years ago by an F5 Tornado 1 mile wide! Hectic! The people there though were so resilient, and in high spirits! It was a Wednesday night and there was over 300 people there! All of them partying like it was Saturday. The way it should be. Such a great show to end the tour on. During our set, Drowning Pool grabbed the keys to our van, ripped the seats out and filled up a blow up pool in the back of it! They got us so good!
The Unlucky13Tour has been such a blast, and can’t believe its over. We’ve experienced so many highs and lows, but so many more highs. We’ll never forget all the awesome people we met along the way, as well as the awesome people who made this Tour Happen. Greg, Matt, Cj, Stevie, Mike, Jasen, The Red tide boys, Patches. You guys are all gentlemen and scholars. See you all soon.
Lastly, thank you all for taking the time to read these blogs I’ve been posting. Our fans are the most important part of this band and your continued support is greatly appreciated. See you in 2015!
