BYRNE – DREAM TOUR

My dream tour would be easy, a culmination of my favorite artists who I have based my own music off of. We’ll call it the Swaggy Folk tour.

I’d start with Mumford and Sons as they’ve been my favorite for years. Real music, anthemic hooks, and power harmonies are what I’m about. I’d follow them with Jon Bellion who’s originality from a musical and lyrical standpoint leaves him genre-less, something I admire. We have to get Florence in the Machine in there too because, when that woman sings, people just seem to bow down and I’m into it.

Throw in Judah and the Lion after Florence! I saw them five years ago for the first time when they opened for Mat Kearney and Parachute. They were the closest thing Ive ever heard to the kind of music I wanted to create. Plus, I’ve never seen anyone that puts on a better and more energetic show than those guys. Throw Maggie Rodgers in there too; her vibe and music just makes me happy. Dermot Kennedy’s lyrics and voice blow my mind too so let’s get in him.

Lastly, Miguel…..he and his music just make my body do weird things. Let him headline. Let him do whatever the heck he wants. He IS Miguel.

Also, is DMX allowed to MC the whole thing? Because if so…..yes.
