Cael Dadian – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the pop artist, Cael Dadian, lets you know who he would like on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

Chance the Rapper:
Chance is the leader of our generation. He’s the reason streamed music is eligible for a Grammy, why you don’t need a label, and he’s even made trumpets cool again. Every aspect from his brand to the sonics of his music inspire me and my approach to music. I went to see him on his last tour and realized that the bar for rap concerts was set to a new height. He had a full, thick, soulful band accompanying his every word, dance, and ad-lib that was unparalleled by any rapper I’ve seen live. (I’ve seen a lot of rap shows). Chance is where I draw my soul, rawness, and overall stage presence from. He inspires me to keep it simple, organic, and to really reach that personal level with the audience. He’d be the perfect act to open for me.

Coldplay:
Although my music is at hip-hoppy soulful R&B place right now, I still feel like it’s the perfect predecessor to the depth and power of Coldplay. You can’t leave a Coldplay show without contemplating the meaning of life itself. The fun and pop sincerity my music provides would be an effective juxtaposition to a Coldplay show and I think it would bring upon a dynamic the audience wouldn’t expect. Coldplay is one of my favorite groups and their music has shaped me since my first days as a musician.

Maggie Rogers:
As I mentioned with Coldplay, my music is in a place of happiness and feel good vibes at the moment. (Subject to change at any time). Maggie Rogers just took the music industry by storm as she played her song “Alaska” for Pharrell and blew him away. Her music combines folk and dance as mine combines pop and soul. She’s a brand new young face to the industry with music that makes you feel something a little different. I feel we both have something similar to offer with different enough approaches that we’d provide a hell of a show.
