Casey Sana – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the pop artist, Casey Sana, reveals who they would want on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out their picks, after the break.

I am beyond excited at the thought of touring right now! I haven’t done any shows to date, so maybe these acts and the number of audience members they bring wouldn’t be the best to start with, but I do look forward to the day when we are able to share the same stage as some of our idols.

Harry Styles has to be in the lineup for my dream tour – his music is reminiscent of one of my favourite eras (the 60s), but he brings a modern flair to that style of music and gives it a really fresh feel. I think that’s a super hard thing to do and it’s a very thin line between taking inspiration from something and doing your own thing with it and simply being a nostalgia act that reminds people of ‘the good old days,’ but he seems to walk that line with ease.

Next would be Michael Jackson, one of the greatest entertainers of all time. He’d probably be last to go on because I can’t imagine any artist wanting to follow that 2-hour sing and dance-a-thon! I’d have loved to have seen him perform live and even though he’s not with us anymore, I still watch old concert footage of him and am always in awe of his work ethic, stamina, and absolute skill in every department – there’s still no one that even comes close to this day… okay, maybe Beyonce!

Speaking of Queen B, I’d actually love to have both her & Jay-Z in my lineup as I feel like that would be a childhood dream come true (it would also probably ruin my bank balance…). Growing up I would always be listening to Beyonce and then when I started to get older, Jay-Z’s lyricism and pure genius started to get through to me as I found my love of Hip Hop, so it would be a very surreal moment to share the stage with them.

Now that I’ve thought about this question more and names keep popping into my head every second, I wanna cheat a little and say that instead of this being a dream tour, it’s now a dream festival! So, some of the other acts that would be playing at “Casey Fest” would be The 1975 (for their eclectic and genre-bending soundscapes), James Brown (I mean, it’s James Brown…), Billie Eilish, The Weeknd, Nina Simone, The Impressions, The Beatles, Justin Bieber, Maverick Sabre, Sam Fender, Frank Ocean, Anderson. Paak & Louis Dunford – just to name a few ?
