Asy and I have a pre-show ritual of what we call “chest bups”. It’s basically a sumo wrestler body slam. Something we’ve done since we were kids to pump ourselves up before soccer games or sports games and just translated that to our pre-show ritual.

Before every show at the moment before we go on stage we need that extra connectedness and hype and do a chest bup. We look at each other and both know it’s chest bup time, back up to get a running start, and then body slam and then act like nothing weird happened and go on stage and perform. Pretty funny and bizarre but you gotta have a weird ritual in the mix to keep things together sometimes. Chest BUUUP!
