We try to perform in the South West of England as much as we possibly can. It’s a beautiful, eccentric, welcoming part of the UK and the local crowds enjoy a diverse range of music. If you ever wanted a reason to play down there, here is a bloody good one.
After one of our shows, at The Taphouse in St Agnes, we somehow managed to leave our merch box in the lay-by we had parked our tour bus in. Now I say merch box, it actually had our fee from the show, numerous personal effects, cameras, float of the merch stand amongst other things. We didn’t realize that we had left it there till the following day when a local business owner contacted us saying some wonderful human had found it and handed it over to them to try and return it to us.
We drove back the following day, retrieved it, gave them huge hugs and thanks, as much free merch as they wanted and continued on the tour.
The people down there are a different breed. Amazing, lovely, kind, welcoming and honest. If you ever get the opportunity to tour/perform down that part of the country, then please do so.
