1. Stay optimistic ALWAYS.
You never know what’s going to happen with sound or crowd or load in or a number of other things when you’re out of your hometown and being able to adapt to the circumstances are huge. It really helps to stay positive and optimistic as you adapt.
2. Eat light.
Driving from city to city on little to no sleep can leave you famished. When it does, your body will thank you if you just snack on something light like hummus, fruit, or a PB&J. When stopping for a full meal, one burger and a water is way better than a “Large number 4 with a dr. Pepper and a McChicken.”
3. Hydration, hydration, hydration.
This one is simple…HYDRATE. Beer and whiskey are not hydrating. Have beer and whiskey, but have water between each one.
4. Prank each other, but know their limits.
There’s nothing better than ragging on your friends, but a simple prank gone wrong can cause an uncomfortable ride. Try to just think if it’s actually going to be as funny as you think before you light their hair on fire.
5. Get your car/van serviced ahead of time.
There’s no reason why you should spend 5 days on the road in August with a busted air conditioner. Unless you’d like to all lose weight, the heat can crush you before showtime.
