Danny Starr – DREAM TOUR

On my dream tour, I’d want to share the stage with some of my biggest inspirations and favorite bands I’ve come across over the last few years and to do that I think we’d have to have a different support act every night… I’d be traveling across Europe and the US with my band, writing my next album as we jump from venue to venue. I have also always wanted to go back to all the small venues I’ve played in London over the last few years and sell them out so that definitely has to be in the dream tour somewhere.
The first artist I’d have to have on the tour would be Ben Howard. His lyrics were some of the first I really connected with, and his songs showed me how powerful songwriting can be. He’s probably one of the main reasons I first started writing. Next up would be Jungle. They’re my favorite band and having seen them live twice, I know I could go to twenty more of their gigs and still be blown away. Hopefully, we’d get some sort of collab going on as well while on the road. Eliza and the Bear are a band who I’ve hung out with at the last three years of Barn On The Farm festival, having vodka gun battles in the middle of their set every year. They’re a great group of guys and their music rocks, so I reckon we’d have an awesome time on and off stage. The Kooks are one of my biggest inspirations, so touring with them would just be epic. The list could go on and on but they are probably the must haves.
Obviously, our bus would have to have a hot tub and a fully kitted out gym, music studio and cinema. We’d have unlimited food and drink, with a surprise KFC once a week… Now you see why we need that gym…
Most importantly, I’d want to be playing shows and looking out over the crowd and seeing hundreds of smiles from people who are loving every moment of the gigs. Knowing that the fans are happy and having a great time, wherever I end up playing, is what really matters to me.
