The first and most important thing to do the morning/afternoon of a show is to try to not wake up hungover. In the event that you fail to do so, a little hair of the dog tends to assist in getting things back on track. Grab a beer and enjoy, life is short.
The next step is to find your instrument and call your bandmates to make sure they’re all alive. The plan was to meet back at the hotel/apartment and head down to soundcheck together, but that likely won’t happen; you’ll probably all scraggle into soundcheck at the venue.
Drink water, as much as you can. Shower up. Try to not embarrass yourself at soundcheck. Take a post-soundcheck nap.
Right before the show, gather in the green room and let the anxiety creep in. Think about those parts in those songs that you’re not ultra confident about, re-run them through in your head and start to second guess the key, and those chord changes. Chug a Red Bull, grab another beer. You’re set.
In all seriousness, you have to have fun with it. Shows are awesome! You’re out there kicking ass with your buddies beside you, and after the show, you’ll all go out for another epic night before heading out of town. There are few things better in life.
Rinse and repeat.
