Defeater – TOUR TIPS

Boston natives, Defeater, have written a set of awesome Tour Tips that you guys can learn from. You can check them out after the break.

1. Don’t tour in a shitty van. Your van is your home. Keep it nice, clean, repaired because your tour will be miserable if you don’t take care of your home.
2. Don’t be afraid to sped $40 every once in a while and get a motel 6 room. Staying with friends and in public places is a lot of fun, but it can wear you out. Sleeping in a bed can save everybody’s attitude.
3. Don’t be an asshole. TO ANYONE EVER. Promoters, other bands, venues, kids at Starbucks and especially band mates (and if you fight with your band mates, resolve it before everything falls apart!!)
4. Don’t be late to shows! Be on time—it will stress everyone out less!
5. Don’t eat shit food. Its hard, but it can be a good time passing project to try to find healthy inexpensive food. You’ll feel better and have more fun.
