DE’NOVA – PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, the indie band, DE’NOVA, share what they do before every show. You can check out their rituals, after the break.

DE’NOVA start the day with a coffee, have breakfast together and then mentally prepare for the day ahead. It’s good to visualize as much of the show as possible and it helps if we have watched other artists on YouTube performing live at the same venue.

Sam is the health freak and makes us feel guilty because he’s so disciplined with his workout routines. Kev is situated backstage making sure his vocals are in check with the aid of scale warm-ups plus a little tea & honey.

An hour before the set we will get together and run through a few songs. We like to mix them up to keep things feeling fresh. Next, we go into pre-gig excitement and Luca will put a playlist on Spotify which gets us all in the zone. Right before we go on stage we form “the huddle” and do our usual chant before hitting the stage “Huntin Fishin & Lovin everyday” by Luke Bryan.
