The hard rock newcomer, DIAMANTE, just finished up touring with Flyleaf, The Agonist, Fit For Rivals and Falling For Scarlet, as a part of the 2015 edition of the “Revolver’s Hottest Chicks In Hard Rock Tour.” While she’s on this tour, she will be doing an exclusive blog for our site. You can check out the second and final entry, with photos, after the break.
The second half of the Revolver “Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock” tour and the days leading up to the end were very different from the beginning. The feeling of surrealism that was in the first days of the tour was completely gone now. Everyone knew their schedules and I knew my tour routine like the back of my hand: wake up, get in the van, load-in, quickly do makeup, do the VIP meet and greet, do my daily interview, go on a scavenger hunt to find any food near the venue, line-check, wait backstage and get on stage. Feelings of anticipation were replaced with feelings of complete confidence and, of course, exhaustion. That feeling of exhaustion was definitely a mutual feeling between everyone.
Backstage hours were spent resting as much as possible until it was time to go on stage with 110% of our energy. Although sleep was scarce and quality food almost didn’t exist, we managed to still have great and memorable times. From late night hotel parties, bar crashing, mechanical bull-riding, night swimming at the beach, to bowling and going to arcades, I’m honestly surprised we had it in us to do all of this.
After our few days in Nashville, we headed to Columbia, South Carolina. From there, we drove down to Jacksonville, Florida. We played what was personally my favorite show at the Freebird Live because the crowd was on fire that night. The venue was incredible as well because it was located right next to the beach where we were able to explore the boardwalk and eat delicious fish and chips. The next stops were all in Florida and although the humidity was intense, every night was a killer show and we spent the off-days being complete beach bums. The final dates were Little Rock, Monroe, Shreveport, and San Antonio.
For these shows, I was determined to make the most of them because we all felt how the tour was coming to a close. On the last off day, all of the bands got together and had a pizza pool party with beers and good laughs. That night was the night where we really all bonded, and the final show was bitter-sweet because we all genuinely became good friends. I hope to someday be able to encounter them again. I am very humbled and grateful for this entire first tour experience. I’ll definitely miss being in a new city every day and wreaking havoc everywhere we go. This last month was something I will always remember and has reassured me that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life.
