Julia: My parents were really into gigs so I went to lots of shows as a kid but the first concert I really feel was “mine” was the Spice Girls. They played at the Forum in Copenhagen, my mom and I got all dressed up like Ginger Spice (who ironically left the band like the next day) and it was a blast – I knew all the songs backwards, I was such a big fan. There’s nothing like a live show experience, it can’t be replaced by anything!
Hannah: The first gig I begged my parents to go to was Backstreet Boys at Manchester arena and it was magical on so many levels. The first amazing part was that I got to leave school early to get there (so naughty! so dedicated!). My uncle drove me and my cousin over and we could barely contain ourselves. The hormonal pre-teen energy was real! Seeing the faces from my bedroom posters in real life blew my 11-year-old mind and I couldn’t believe the TALENT that was on that stage. One of them even played the piano which showed me they were definitely real musicians and not manufactured at all like my brother said! I adore an intimate gig, but the energy can be wild at an arena show, with so many people sharing a moment together. This gig was such a pivotal point in me falling in love with pop music and we haven’t fallen out of love since
