A dream tour for me would consist of my dream team band, with Chris Martin on keys, Travis Barker on drums, Matt Bellamy on guitar and lead vocals from Lauren Mayberry and Ed Sheeran. Every night we’d be slamming out my tunes as a gang because we’re all best friends and go way, way back…
The tour would start off in London, at Wembley Stadium. It would be sold-out, obviously – and we’d fold away the seats right from the beginning so we can fit more people into the party, and also they wouldn’t have any option other than to dance their asses off. There’d be fireworks, laser shows, holograms throughout the whole thing…I’d parachute down onto the stage from the Draper-copter that would be live-streaming the whole event to every TV and computer screen in the world at the same time. All the drinks would be free because we don’t want people to worry about anything else other than having the best time.
The show would last no shorter than 3 hours – then we’d swiftly move onto the after-party with all of our close friends and family, before heading out on the Draper-copter to the next show. There would be 100 dates overall, including every major summer festival going throughout the world. The whole tour would finish up with a grand finale of a show at the North Pole, which would be invite-only for 100 competition winners picked from each stop on the tour. 10,000 people just wigging out at the North Pole to my super-band…
I’m actually going off into a daydream now about this!
If it was to be a more realistic dream tour I’d love to be supporting CHVRCHES in some massive venues with insane visuals/lighting and excessive confetti and pyro. I’d also love to do a tour with cirque du soleil and have live acrobatics in sync with the music. I love the circus and think it’d be pretty crazy to combine a live show with that, has anyone done that? If not that’s my dream tour.
