Dylan Rockoff – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the singer-songwriter, Dylan Rockoff, lets you know who he would like on his ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

When I think about my “Dream-Tour,” I think about how I’ve always wanted to road trip across the country. Traveling has always been a passion of mine, so getting to do so with the guys in my band would be a dream come true. As far as dream tour mates go, I think I’d have to ask for Led Zeppelin. I know they’re not totally realistic, but maybe I could get them together for a reunion tour. Probably not! So a more realistic answer might be:

1. Dylan Rockoff

2. The Derek Trucks Band:
because Derek Trucks is a phenomenal guitarist and is one of the few players today that moves me with his solo, or even his comp chords. His playing is beautiful. He actually played with the Allman Brothers when I saw them. It was one of the best performances, by one of the best group of musicians I’ve ever seen. It was Warren Haynes on guitar, Butch Trucks on drums, Gregg Allman on keys and vocals, and Oteil Burbridge on bass. It was an absolute knockout to see them all make music together.

3. Alabama Shakes
because these guys are keeping rock and roll alive. They’re pushing the limits of the genre, and I’d love to maybe have a little of that rub off on me. I really dig their approach to songwriting and their creative process.

4. The Allman Brothers Band
because I’m a singer/songwriter, sure. But I also religiously study the lead guitar, and these guys wrote the book.

It’d be incredible to share the stage with these world class musicians and learn from their experiences. That being said, I’m excited to be on the road this
