Fall From Grace – TOUR TIPS

Fall From Grace is a rock band out of Seattle, WA and they has extensive tour experience!  The band was nice enough to share some tips that they would recommend to other bands about how to tour. Check them out after the break!

1. Always make time to hang out with your fans! They’re the reason you’re doing this.
2. Stay hydrated and try and eat well. These are the hardest things to do while on the road and the most crucial. You will get sick, and so will everyone else. Expect it to happen. Just make sure you try and prevent it as best you can.
3. Make friends with the other bands you’re sharing the road with. You never know if you’ll need help if you break down along the way (or another band may need help). You’re brothers and sisters while on the road. It’s very one for all and all for one. Bands that tour a lot know this, and are remarkable about welcoming new bands in.
4. Remember every night is Friday night and very morning is Sunday morning! What this means is that everyone will expect you to party and carry on because you’re the life of the party. Have fun but do it responsibly. Remember that you have a job to do the next day and you must not let your band mates down. Sometimes this means you hit the rack early on a night where everyone else is partying like its 1999.
5. The road is hard. Don’t expect it to be easy. Have fun and treat people with respect, and you’ll do great! Also keep in mind emotions get high, fights will happen, and you’ll hate each other momentarily. Please keep in mind all of this is temporary and at the end of the day you’re all a family. :)
