Here’s our idea of a perfect tour date:
FARR
Open to a slowly filling in Shepherds Bush Empire. The month is April, the air is crisp. The cheeks of the incoming concert goers are stained a light rosy red. The lights slowly dim, FARR walks out to the stage. We think it’s only right that we open up this show, not just for seniority reasons, but also out of the respect we have for the artists that we would fill this bill with. Naturally, we make a lot of noise and get people dancing, and it’s a good night cause Roméo only forgot 3 lyrics the whole show… We exit the stage and hand it over to the next act.
SAMPHA
The lights in the venue become even darker, down to a single beam of light pulsating on the stage. A silhouette appears, and the subs starts to rumble from the stage. Sampha builds into the the Drop of “Reverse Faults” and the room goes wild. Once the song is done the room goes black. He only plays one song because it’s a surprise show, so that’s how that works. Everyone is slightly let down but desperately left wanting more.
ANDERSON.PAAK
The chatter of a restless crowd now grows. The shadows of stagehands moving equipment scurry across the stage. Then it stops. Lights rise and we see a band on the stage, like bulls ready to make their first charge towards a blood red flag. A bass line starts, then a beat beneath it, the keys creep in, then the guitar. It’s overwhelming, it’s urgent. Anderson .Paak emerges from behind the drum set and screams into the mic. He tears from song to song, shutting it down with “Come Down.”
D’ANGELO
We think this speaks for itself. It makes everybody want to cry, and Anderson, Sampha, and ourselves are side stage huddled together sobbing as “Brown Sugar” plays in the background. It’s in that moment we all decide to give up music and become accountants.

Keep up with the duo on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
