Today is day five of our tour with Foreverandnever, and so far the experience has been absolutely amazing. We have played many shows, festivals, and have even toured before, but this has definitely been an experience unlike any other so far, and hands-down one of our favorite journeys together as a group.
At the beginning of the trip, we were a bit uneasy about how it would go due to the condition of our singer. She has been sick for over a week, and having a lot of trouble with her voice. We managed to play the first two shows in Nashville and St. Louis with little worry, but our last show in New Albany had to be instrumental. Everyone has been extremely supportive and helpful from health advice to giving us places to stay during our trip, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful! We have had a few days rest and hope to be back at it as a full band tomorrow night in Chicago.
The shows themselves have been absolutely great. The amount of people coming to show their support, the venues, the crew, and of course our friends in Foreverandnever. We had never met these guys up until the first show in their hometown (Nashville), but it’s crazy how quickly we were able to make a connection with each member and become great friends. They are all such fantastic people, and we honestly could not have asked for a better band to be matched up with by our manager, Jan Powers. During our stay in St. Louis, the guys in Foreverandnever had the misfortune of having their van broken into, and all of their personal items stolen. It’s difficult enough to be in an unknown area living out of a van, let alone to have it made even more difficult by not having any of your clothes, medications, etc. We have a lot of respect for them and their decision to continue on with the tour, and are very proud of the progress they have made and the amount of support they have received to help them with their situation.
The last stop on our tour is in Kent, Ohio on Saturday. We look forward to seeing all of our friends and family there supporting us as we make our way back home, and showing our friends in Foreverandnever what a Cleveland show is all about! Being part of such an incredible musical community is very important to us, and we are extremely proud of where we come from. As our 9 days on the road come to an end, we couldn’t be happier to be spending the final day in the presence of the people who helped us get here. All in all, this has been an absolutely unbelievable journey, and we are so incredibly thankful to everyone in Digital Tourbus, New Noise Magazine, Foreverandnever, our manager Jan Powers, and our families for making this tour possible.
