The alternative rock bands, ForeverandNever (pictured) and Visionaries, are currently on their 2015 U.S. winter tour together, that we’re sponsoring. During this tour, they will be doing an exclusive blog for us. You can check out the second entry that was written by ForeverandNever, with photos, after the break.
We just got home from hanging out with our friends in Visionaries for 9 days. This is the first tour that we’ve done with another band, the first time we’d met them, and we couldn’t have picked a better group of people to go out with us. Although it was freezing every night and we drove straight through some snow storms, every single show was rad and the crowds were amazing.
Visionaries’ singer Leah started off the tour sick, but you wouldn’t have known since she slayed every single night. Among the slew of hiccups including Leah’s voice going out and my amp blowing a fuse the first night, we had the misfortune of having our van broken into in St. Louis the 2nd night of tour. As frustrating as it was, we had so many people reach out to us with a generosity that we would have never anticipated. Thankfully we were able to get the broken window replaced and bought ourselves some essentials to finish out the tour.
The response we received from complete strangers, as well as the reception every crowd gave us every night made it seem like the break in never happened. Due to a show getting cancelled we spent another day in Chicago, which turned out to be cool since we’ve never been there, so we got to explore the town a little, go to the zoo, go to the top of the Hancock Center, and eat some incredible Chicago hot dogs.
The tour came to a close in Kent, OH which is the area that Visionaries is from so they brought out an awesome hometown crowd that sent us off feeling warm into the polar vortex we encountered on the way home. All in all, mishaps considered, this was one of the most fun tours we’ve done and we’re so glad we became good friends with the guys in Visionaries. Expect to see us on the road with them again soon!
We want to give a shoutout to every single person that showed generosity to us during a tough time, to New Noise Magazine for always supporting us, sponsoring this tour, and telling people about our goings on, to Digital Tour Bus for sponsoring this tour, the Guitar Center in Chicago for helping us replace some things that were taken, and to everyone who came out to every show, gave us hugs, bought merch and sang along to our songs!
