FrankK – FIRST CONCERT EVER

In this First Concert Ever segment, the electro-pop artist, FrankK, reveals the story of her first concert. You can check out her story and stream her newest single, Fantasy Boy, after the break.

Before I moved to Stockholm I grew up in a small town in Sweden – a town that was too small for having any artists or bands coming to play and where it wasn’t happening very much.

The only big happening there was a local festival once a year, which basically consisted of a local DJ and one of the five bands that existed over there.

So, I actually never went to a ‘real’ concert until I played one myself.

My first ever gig was at a big festival in Sweden. I have no idea how that happened, or why someone thought it was a great idea to put a small pop band on that kind of festival. But yep – that was my first ever gig, so I didn’t really know what I was supposed to do, how I was supposed to act, or what it would be like.

Back then I thought that artists had to talk about every song they played – about how they made the song or what it was about. So, I talked for like five minutes in-between every song… and It wasn’t very good either. Haha. Great times.
