The alternative band, The Maine, let you know what bands they’re most excited to see on Warped Tour this summer. You can check out their picks, after the break.
The good ole’ Boulder Boys will be getting my VIP smooch treatment as soon as they jump on Warped. I haven’t seen 30H3! in some time and always look forward to our reunion. Nat and I swapped roles back in 2009 on Warped and posed as each other on stage. I don’t think people really understood, or even noticed, but it was good for us and sometimes you gotta be a little selfish so who knows, we might have to do it again.
The Word Alive
Once upon a time, two boys were playing some laser tag at the local joint. The two have never met but they will soon become the greatest of friends. Tony Pizzuti and Garrett NIckelsen meet on that pizza party of a night and their lives were never the same. After years of jamming hard in basements and Garages, in bands together and separate, they find themselves on the same tour once again. The Word Alive are heavy as hell and writing hooks even fish can love. I’ve watched them grow into one of the greatest bands in the scene and still the best guys around. You know I’ll be watching them most days and Hey, maybe even a crowd surf or two. Make sure to check out Tony and the boys, you will not be sorry.
Right around the time I started getting into the playing of music Good Charlotte was heavy in my rotation. Much later, but still almost 10 years ago, GC took us on the road and taught us on how to do it the right way. They are great people and they put on a killer live show! It’s exciting to see them back at it, influencing a whole new generation!
It is always exciting to see good people doing well and that is why I can’t wait to see Knuckle Puck on Warped tour this summer. We toured with them last year and became friends really fast. I have a feeling they are going to be one of the most exciting bands to watch over the summer and I am sure the crowds are going to get bigger and bigger each day. Good people playing good music. Can’t beat that.
New Found Glory
I remember the first time I went to Warped Tour. It was pretty much only to see NFG. I think it was 2002. 14 years later, they’re playing Warped and so are we. Can’t wait to catch their set!
