Good Rzn - CRAZY TOUR STORIES

In this Crazy Tour Stories segment, the alternative music duo, Good Rzn, shares one of their stories from being on the road. You can check out the story below:

The summer of 2021 marked our first live show together. We had a few sets lined up in different cities and a small festival in Southern California would be the start of it all. Some of our friends from college came to Los Angeles to drive up to the festival with us. We rented a bus that we were told had 3 beds big enough to each sleep 2 people. Neither of us were old enough to legally drive the bus so we convinced our friend to.

On the day of the show, we hit the road in the morning and arrived a few hours before our set time. Soundcheck was quick, and before we knew it we were up to play. There was one problem though…the sound technician was nowhere to be found. He had gone on his lunch break and it was now up to us to run the sound for our set. In between songs we were running to the side of the stage to adjust levels on our mixer and hoping for the best. Josie's mom was giving us signals to turn the guitar up and lower the bass but we couldn’t see her in the audience so she ran up on stage and started mixing our set herself. As she always says, the show must go on!

The party was just getting started and we were having the time of our lives. Later that night our crew went back to get some sleep and realized we had no idea how to convert the space into the so-called beds in the bus. We stayed up until the early hours of the morning and crashed soon before we were supposed to head back home. Some of our friends even ended up sleeping outside on the inflatable pool furniture that we decided to bring at the last minute. It’s definitely a memory that we'll never forget!
