My dream tour lineup would consist of a group of artists who have shaped me artistically throughout my life in a variety of ways. If I’m honest though, there are way too many artists to decide between, so I’m just going to go with five that first spring to mind. The show would be incredibly eclectic. The following is in no particular order in terms of set times.
Queen first. Their huge energy and the theatrical edge are so exciting. And they have some of the most iconic songs ever written in their catalogue. I’d do anything to be able to go back in time and see Freddie do what he did best on stage. I was hugely inspired by his charismatic performances as a child.
David Bowie would be on there too. His bold, eccentric image is something I’ve always looked up to since I was a kid. The way he so meticulously sculpted these characters and worked them into his musical worlds was perfect. He was brilliantly unique.
Billie Eilish has to be on the lineup too. I saw her live at the O2 arena the other day and was blown away by her show. She is a modern-day icon in the same way that I think Queen and Bowie were. Her musical journey is only just getting started.
Lauv encapsulates everything I love about pop music today. His productions are so expertly executed, which is all the more impressive when you discover he does so much of it himself. Melodically he is so light on his feet too. It’s just the perfect pop in my eyes.
And finally, I think Post Malone would be such a great addition to the lineup. I saw him at Reading Festival in 2019 and he was amazing. Probably in my top 3 concert experiences of all time. His energy was CRAZY, there was so much moshing going on. And he seems like such a lovely guy, I get the feeling there’s no way people wouldn’t get along with him backstage.
