GRMLN – TOUR TIPS

In this Tour Tips segment, Yoodoo Park of the punk band, GRMLN, gives you his somewhat serious tips for being on tour. You can check out the feature, after the break.

1. Don’t forget to bring headphones. It’s essential when trying to block out the annoying member in the band for long drives between shows. Luckily I’m the annoying one in the band so I personally don’t have to worry too much about headphones.

2. Listen to the most cringy music you can find while driving at night from a show to keep you from falling asleep. Research shows that the emotion of disgust can heighten a human’s sense by 140%. Which is why my bandmates like me talking about my life when they get sleepy on the road.

3. Don’t take it personally when no one shows up to the show. It’s most likely that if you’re not Coldplay, people don’t care enough to see your band. Because there are so many bands these days, it’s hard to keep up. Why would anyone go to a GRMLN show, if Coldplay is playing just a few streets down. HA

4. Take it personally when no one shows up to the show. It’s most likely that you’ll come to a realization that people prefer Coldplay over your band. Which isn’t a bad thing.

5. Listen to Kidz Bop. You can usually grab a copy before leaving on tour at any local library. But don’t forget to check the return date, you don’t wanna rack up the price on the overdue tab and have a freeze on your library card account.
