Most of these have to do with Andrew, he’s the biggest lunchbox of us all. Once upon a time in a hotel, he clogged the toilet, come to find out we were without a plunger. Being respectful to the house keepers, he went where most men don’t dare to go. Bare hand. (His right hand that he eats with at that) unclogged the toilet. Flushed. Threw the soggy toilet paper back in. And flushed one more time. Still makes me wiggle thinking about that.
On the road with The Jealous Sound late fall of 2012, we learned that Andrew from time to time has night terrors. Yes, our 25 year old bearded guitarist has night terrors. Once in a hotel room in upstate NY, he began to scream in his sleep “NO, NO, NO, NOOOO!!!!” We can’t even say no anymore without thinking of that night. The last leg of that tour Andrew was driving us to DC from Philly and fell asleep while driving, and within the moment of him falling asleep, he had another night terror. We almost hit a barrier wall. We all we’re up in the blink of an eye as we hear the van vier off the shoulder. We were all yelling to tell him to stop. We all lived to see another day and one more story to add to the books.
I’m not picking on him, he just has the best stories. He’s the most interesting of us four, in my opinion. He is a good driver, don’t let these stories fool you. We have so many stories, I could already write a book on them. Though I have so many years to go with these amazing gentlemen I call my best friends, there are thousands more to come. I wouldn’t give it up for the world. Sorry, not sorry. These are my wild stories I’ve had on the road touring in Have Mercy.
Keep up with the band on Facebook and Twitter.
