Heartour – TOUR TIPS

Electronic band, Heartour, were gracious enough to write a set of helpful Tour Tips for you guys to learn from. You can check them out after the break.

1. See the city. See the zoo. Try to get out and explore when you
have the time. Breaking up the monotony of drive > play > hotel >
drive is the key enjoying your time on the road.
2. Don’t overdo it. The road can be a non stop party and it’s
awesome but remember that you are out there to put on the best show
possible every night. Make sure to get as much rest as you can and
save the hard partying for after you step off stage.
3. Buy seasons of TV shows to watch on the computer for the long
drives. I’m also a fan of random talk radio and staring out the
window but nothing makes an 8 hour drive fly by like a season of “Lost”
or “Breaking Bad.”
4. Eat right and exercise. Even if it’s only a 20 minute run around
the venue, getting that heart rate up will give you that extra energy
you need for rocking. Also fast food will really bring you down after
awhile so hit a grocery store when you can for some fruits & veggies.
Plant power baby!
5. Don’t be a dick. This should go without saying but hey some bands
have that guy. Be nice to everyone you meet from the sound guy to the
annoying large fan that won’t leave you alone. You never know who
might help you out down the road.
