HEIRLOOM – PRESHOW RITUALS

In this Preshow Rituals segment, the metalcore band, HEIRLOOM, reveals what they do before taking the stage. You can check out the story, after the break.

The funny thing is- most of our “pre-show” rituals are all the day BEFORE a show! We all get together at our drummer’s place and watch a movie together, while we do more commentating and banter than we do watching, it helps to get the nerves down a bit and to just have fun in each other’s company.

All of us have found that the key to our band’s success thus far has been the fact that we’re all really close friends, hell, three of us went to high school together and have been friends for years before Heirloom, including being in an entirely different band previously.

Strictly speaking on show day rituals, it’s always swinging by the same Sheetz, getting practically the same thing every time (I love a monster and a cheese and grapes cup) Splitting off to do our own individual things when we get there, whether it’s setting up merch or having a smoke with the other bands, we’ve gotten the routine down to a science by this point.

We also love to get to our shows a good bit early to just hang out with the other bands, the promoter, and whoever else is there and just getting to know everyone we haven’t met before, cause then next time we’re in town we recognize more and more people, and no matter where we are, it always feels like home; From the drunk horse pub to new brookland tavern, there’s always been a familiar and friendly face there to greet us.
