H.E.R.O.

In this Tour Tips segment, the hard rock band, H.E.R.O., recommends advice for being a musician on the road. You can check out the tips, after the break.

1. Get your sleep!! – It can be hard sleeping properly when touring – different hotel rooms – long travels – different time zones. But always try to rest when you can. A rested mind and body perform way better than when you are tired and hungover!
2. Alcohol!! – Drink responsibly, and try to keep it to a minimum. Of course, alcohol is nice sometimes, and it is a part of rock n’ roll touring – especially after a show when you are all happy and full of adrenaline and endorphins. But there is often a bill to pay, and you want the audience tomorrow to get their money’s worth as well!
3. Get in the zone before a gig! – Musicians are different as people are different – meaning that everybody has different ways to get “show ready”. Find out what is best for you – if you like to have fun and joke around – do that. But some musicians like to get quiet and find their inner peace and focus. Respect the people that you are in a band with – the show will be better, and the band will be together longer. ;-)
