Heron – DREAM TOUR

In this Dream Tour segment, the post rock band, Heron, let you know who they would like on their ultimate tour lineup. You can check out the feature, after the break.

If any tiny detail of this would ever happen – I think our heads would probably explode. Heron would also be playing dead first every single night, so we could watch afterward!
The first leg of this worldwide tour would start with the bands on Boyd’s list. We would have a one day break to go to the Fano workshop and pick up a new set of guitars. Play for one week with BOTH LISTS of bands, and then game on after that to finish up with just Nate’s list.
We kept the list to present bands. The list wouldn’t quit otherwise!
Top 3 dream bands to tour with – Boyd:
Mogwai: It’s completely inspiring to see a band that has continued to push boundaries. We hope to follow this lead in our writing! When you put a record on – you know it’s them, but it still makes you wonder what will be next. 20 years worth of albums says a lot.
AC/DC (It’s a dream tour, ok? Leave me and my dreams alone!): I have been an AC/DC fan ever since my older brother bought Back In Black when I was about 10 years old. Our musical styles would not mesh at all for a tour, and everyone would hate us, haha. Angus Young is just the man, though. Period.
This Will Destroy You: They have been a consistent staple in all of our collections. I remember the first time I heard ‘A Three-Legged Workhorse’. The way that song built up to the drums coming in…magical.
Top 3 dream bands to tour with – Nate:
Sigur Ros: Again – 20 years of music that is still amazing. Talk about pushing boundaries as well! Who creates their own musical language? They did.
Mewithoutyou: This band could have gone onto both lists easily. Every record of theirs has progressed from the gritty start and hasn’t disappointed since. The guitar work isn’t the most complex – but it is by far some of the most tasteful work in terms of dynamics and placement. Poetry. This is the stuff that inspires us!
Russian Circles: Have you heard these guys?! I bet you have. Beautiful and HEAVY. Like boat anchor around your ankle heavy.

Keep up with the band on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
