This is something that every musician thinks about and if they say they don’t, they’re lying. We’ve often spoken about this on long journeys in Vanessa (our big red van) and we always come up with different answers. But anyway, here goes!

I think it’d have to be a multi-band tour so that we could really mix it up. Let’s work backward. As a headliner, I’m gonna go with Bruce Springsteen. We’re all big fans of The Boss and he always brings everything he’s got to a live set. He’s a big inspiration to us and never disappoints. Before Bruce, we’re going to have a bit of Mark Knopfler. He’s a big influence on our songwriting and we just love watching him shred that guitar. Now that we’ve had two artists from an older generation, I think it’s time for something young and fresh so that we get a nice mix of people in the crowd. Larkin Poe is an amazing new band from Atlanta, Georgia. They’re fronted by two sisters who have the most amazing voices and one plays lap steel like a goddess. Seriously, check it out.. It’d be nice to have some girls on the line up too.

As it’s a ‘dream tour’, Hunter & The Bear will obviously be opening the show every night. Once we’ve finished our own set, we’ll also be making cameos in each of the other bands sets. It’d be rude not to! At the end of the night, all the acts can come up on stage to sing ‘The River’ with Bruce. Mark can play the guitar while Larkin Poe and us get our harmonies on. Maybe even do a sneaky rendition of ‘Romeo & Juliet’ to close the show. Sounds good to us!
