Here in the INSVRGENCE camp, we have a tour game we play called “The Bone Zone”. It is named after this guy Jacob Bone that I went to high school with. He had a Bowllet (Bowl Cut Mullet), Tripp Pants, and a Peavy 7 string that he would carry with him everywhere (but never play). During a school dodgeball tournament onetime, they played Down with The Sickness over the auditorium speakers and Jacob Bone got so pumped that he started doing these jumping crunches with double dad horns.
Since that fateful day, we refer to that motion as “The Bone Zone”
Now that you Hopefully have proper context on what the bone zone is and looks like, I can continue on with how the game is played.
If one person calls your name, shoots double dad horns at you, and you don’t matrix out of the way, you have to do 10 Jumping Bone Zone crunches no matter the time or place.
We were on the Fight Riffs Forever tour in 2016 with Distinguisher and Extortionist in Van Nuys, CA at the White Oak Music Hall. One of their dudes (henceforth referred to as Member X) had a girl come out to the show that he was talking to and trying to impress.
We had a song in our set at that time where the whole band would stop, we’d do a mosh call, and then bust back into the song.
We saw that MemberX was in the pit right before the breakdown and instead of doing a standard mosh call, we propelled him straight into the bone zone.
He tried to stop after doing 4 of them to which we told him “We aren’t starting this song again until you give us 6 more”. So he did 6 more while everyone cheered him on and I’d never seen someone’s face so red in my life haha.
Knowing that the girl in question had NO IDEA why MemberX was doing goofy midair crunches made the whole thing 10X more fulfilling.
So if you’re ever on the road with us and you want to be inducted into the Bone Zone, just let us know. Just know that once you’re in it, you can’t leave.

Keep up with the band on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
